Session

While the global pandemic of covid19 has brought upon us all unprecedented challenges, it has shown us how we are ‘all in the same boat’ – albeit in different ‘parts’ of that global ‘boat’. This session aims (1) to present and celebrate the ‘ImpactB4Income Social Responsibility Project Africa’, realised under the EMCC Global Social Responsibility Workgroup, while showcasing how a significant merit of connecting virtually in our pandemic-ridden ‘VUCA’ world has high potential for the democratization of coaching. In redesigning our future, Coaches and Mentors have an important role to play, as ‘social responsibility’ and ‘solidarity’ have gained a well-deserved spotlight on the global scene. It’s up to us to capture and sustain this momentum and, through it, to create meaningful impact through coaching around the world. Thus, this session also aims (2) to  inspire and prompt colleagues to create and implement social responsibility projects or actions that will positively impact our crisis-ridden world through the powerful methodologies of coaching and mentoring. Through the various challenges faced in this project, there are a number of lessons to share that we trust will prove highly valuable to those who wish to create social responsibility projects anywhere in the world.
